A lightning arrester is an important part of electrical systems. It helps protect against lightning strikes and sudden increases in voltage. Its job is to redirect the extra electricity caused by lightning away from sensitive equipment and infrastructure. Doing this prevents damage to electrical parts, reduces downtime, and strengthens electrical networks.

There are two types of Lightning Arrester:

• ESE Lightning Arrester -

  Regular lightning rods wait for lightning to strike, but ESE lightning rods are proactive!

  Instead of waiting to be hit, ESE rods send out a tiny, controlled electrical pulse upwards. This "pulse" attracts the lightning strike and safely guides it down to the ground through a conductor. This protects a larger area around the rod compared to regular rods and might cause less damage.

• Spikes Lightning Arrester

  Spike lightning arresters, like lightning rods, attract lightning strikes.

  They act like a tall, pointed metal rod on top of a building. When lightning approaches, the spike attracts it and safely channels the current down to the ground through a conductor. This helps protect the building from damage.
